Unsubscribes

The unsubscribes page is where you manage your bouncebacks as well as your customer requests to be unsubscribed when they don't opt to use the unsubscribe link in the email.

If you can assign the bounceback or unsubscribe request to a particular Campaign, please use the first pulldown to select the Campaign the generate the unsubscribe request or bounce.

You should always select what type of request this is from the second pulldown. Your options are "Customer requested unsubscribes" and "Bouncebacks". It is important that you seperate and identify these actions so that you can get accurate reports in the Completed Campaigns page.

In the large textbox, you would enter the email addresses to be unsubscribed, one line at a time.

Clicking the "Unsubscribe these Email Addresses" button at the bottom of the screen will

  • turn of the OkToEmail flag in the appropriate record in Customer table (if found)
  • turn of the OkToEmail flag in the appropriate record in the xaEmmExternalCustomer table (if found)
  • insert a record in the xaEmmMasterUnsubscribeList table
