Google Voice For Everyone… In the US

imageInvites, we don’t need no stinkin’ Invites!

Well, Google Voice has FINALLY launched to the general public! No longer will my friends and family be begging me for invites to this great program. And you won’t either ‘cause if you jump over to http://voice.google.com/ right now, you’ll be able to sign in with your Google Account and get your very own One Number To Rule Them All!

I’ve been using it for close to a year now to manage my cell phone’s voicemail. I really like the fact that I can get SMS and/or Emails of the transcriptions of my voicemail for not only my Google Voice number but also for my regular cell number. Between the Android client on my phone and the Chrome extension on my desktop, I’m pretty well connected.

Now if they only would get around to releasing a desktop VOIP client that works with this number, life would be good!

If you are interested in learning more about this great FREE service, you can watch the videos or just see what’s new before you sign up for the service. What do you have to lose?

Hey, in case you didn't know it, but if you already have a Google Voice account and aren't happy with your number, for $10, Google allows you to change your number to something more to your liking even doing forwards from your old number for a period of time. Not a bad additional service.
