Tools and Thoughts
This is where you’ll find various thoughts, ramblings and web-based tools that defy quick categorization.
Not only will this provide me with a great way to keep all those items I find of interest in order, but online so that HOPEFULLY, one won’t lose them again AND I can share them with you fine folk.
- Save URL As – Ever need to use SaveAs on a file that is automatically fed to you (by a popup window or …) and you can’t just go directly to it cause it will launch a helper app? Well this utility will help.
- Investment Legacy – A wonderful piece of writing, published with permission of the author. This piece was originally published in The Industry Standard, a periodical that chronicled the course of the “New Economy” of the turn of this century.
- On Loyalty – A quotation by Elber Hubbard that I feel rings true even to this day. Hubbard, the founder of the Roycrofters, dies on board the Lusitania when it was sunk in 1915.
- Weeeee!! – A wonderful piece of flash animation that is being used without permission since I don’t know who the author is.
- Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai – A novel, by Yamamoto Tsunetomo, that delves into the inner workings of the Samurai mind through anecdotes and insights into their everyday life.
- Daylight Savings Time – What is all this time changing all about?
